Paul McCartney Drawings Withdrawn from Sale at Auction. :: A set of drawings by Sir Paul McCartney, which were expected to fetch more than $40,000 at auction, will not be hitting the auction block after all, BBC News has reported. The drawings, which were done by McCartney in the early ‘70s as prototypes for a part-animated film, were being sold by the daughter of animator Eric Wylam, who died in 1997. Maggie Thornton, Wylam’s daughter, said the drawings have been in her family for 40 years.
