Jack White and Stephen Colbert debuted their new collaboration, entitled “Charlene II (I’m Over You)” on the Colbert Report last night. The track, which is available from White’s record label, Third Man Records, is Colbert’s second release, following 2006′s “Charlene (I’m Right Behind You)”.
“Charlene II,” which was produced by Jack White, is a goofy play on relationship songs, with Colbert singing about how he’s over a girl that he still stalks. Joining the stage to help him premier the song to the Colbert Nation were the Black Belles, an all-female goth band on White’s Third Man Records.
Watch the performance, which was part of Colbert’s week-long “Dr. Pepper Presents StePhest ColbChella ‘011 – Rock You Like a Thirst-Icane” music series below, and buy the track from the Third Man Records online store.
