There are a lot of fingerstyle guitarist in the world that become famous because they’re able to express the right expression and adding lots of feelings to their music.
The major problem that you will be facing when you’re learning to play guitar in order to become fingerstyle guitarist is the thinness of your fingernails. As we all know, picking a guitar need a strong fingernail in order to create a strong and beautiful sound. However, there are lots of people that have thin fingernails and it certainly a problem when they are trying to learn guitar. Thin fingernails can be caused by a lot of thing and some of them is caused by diet or irregular eating pattern. Therefore, if you want to have strong fingernail, the best thing to do is fix your eating pattern and start consuming healthy food in order to make yourself healthy in overall.
Even though changing your eating habit is a good thing, it certainly will take some time to be effective. If you don’t want to wait too long to start learning about them and become fingerstyle guitarist that you dream of, then you can always choose fingerpick instead. However, there are opinions that said using fingerpicks wouldn’t be able to give you enough power and also enough feeling to the music that you want to express. This is actually just an opinion and it is differ among people. If fingerpicks is not an option, then you might want to try artificial nail such as acrylic nails. Since it is quite simple, many people prefer to use this way so that they could play guitar as they like. Or, if you don’t want to be trouble by any of it, you can try using the flesh of your fingernails and see whether you’re able to play your music by using it. If you’re truly serious on learning, then you will be able to find a solution for any kind of problem you have eventually.
